The station is approximately 35 metres from kerbside of the busy London Road with approximate traffic flow of 9,000 vehicles (12 hour average). The manifold inlet is approximately 35 metres from kerbside and approximately 3 metres high. The surrounding area is generally open with local light industry in an urban background environment.
